Album Info:The 1216 yards (1112 metres) long Southport Pier in north-west England is Britain's second longest pleasure pier and since and since 2005 has a 3ft 6ins (1042mm) gauge 2-car battery-electric tram running along its length. It was withdrawn in March 2016 and subsequently stored pending scrapping.
